Club Founder / Head Coach
Wrestling means so much to me and I truly believe the Lord instilled this passion for the sport in me and uses it as a vehicle to teach me and help me grow. Wrestling has provided me with so much and I will never be able to repay it, so instead I pay it forward and that's why I coach.

I coach because I love to watch the development process as athletes learn and grow in the sport. I coach because I love helping kids learn how to work hard and chase big dreams. I coach because I enjoy learning and developing wrestling techniques and philosophies. I coach because I believe it is what the Lord designed me to do. I coach because I love going to war with the athletes I train. I coach because it's fun!

Wrestling is the last of the great gladiator sports. It is true one on one competition that allows for no excuses for lack of achievement. The impetus for success is on each individual as a person. I coach because it is my absolute favorite thing to do.
I retired and came back because I realized that this is what I want to do and how I like to invest my time. Each individual who buys into the process, and I am able to help, becomes another positive pillar in which society can lean on.

My wrestling coaches are the ones who stood up for me when others wouldn’t, made sure I got good grades to be eligible and graduate, were there for my highest and lowest points, and pushed me to be the best I could be in wrestling and life.
Wrestling means more to me than competition. It’s given me lifelong friends, an education, a career, a home, and an amazing family, all of which were contributed by values and work ethics I learned from my coaches. I coach because I love the sport of wrestling and want to share my experiences to make the next generations successful on and off the mat, just as mine did for me.

Wrestling, to me, isn’t just a sport. It's a rigorous discipline that has sculpted my character, resilience, and ambition. The sport has taught me the true meaning of perseverance, pushing me to my limits while teaching me the invaluable lesson that the most significant victories often come after the toughest defeats. It has a way of humbling even the hardest and toughest men & women in the world. Wrestling has been a transformative force in my life, instilling in me a permanent dedication and a relentless work ethic that goes far beyond the wrestling mat.
My decision to give up my free time to coach is rooted in a desire to give back to a sport that has given me so much. Coaching is my way of paying it forward, offering guidance, support, and mentorship to younger kids who remind me of myself at their age. It's a privilege to share my passion and knowledge, helping to shape the next generation of wrestlers not just into fierce competitors but into resilient individuals ready to tackle life's challenges. Witnessing their growth, both on and off the mat, is incredibly rewarding and reinforces my commitment to the sport and its community.
Wrestling is more than a sport to me. It's a lifelong journey of growth, challenge, and fulfillment. After dedicating over 20 years to the craft, I would say that it means everything to me.

Lessons taught throughout competing in my youth through college have stuck with me through adulthood. Push through the struggle, pain, and sacrifices you have to make to be successful. It was the cornerstone to my development as a human. Although many of these lessons I didn’t see at the time, I look back now and I’m extremely grateful for opportunities this sport has given me. Grateful more for the triumphs than the achievements, because the triumphs are what shaped me more as man.
I coach because I want to give back to the community. So many people poured their souls into me, so I want to pay that effort forward. The bonus that truly makes it all worth is watching a kids develop a passion for the sport I love and when you start to see "the lights come on" for them.

Wrestling is the ultimate sport. It levels the playing field for the individual athlete, no matter their size, body type, race, education, income level, or gender. Success in wrestling comes through hard work, determination, and dedication — not through having the nicest equipment, best facility, or perfect genetic makeup. No other sport compares.
Joining wrestling was the most influential decision I ever made. I was lucky to have guy friends who introduced me to the sport, enabling me to confidently join as the only girl on the team. Wrestling taught me life lessons that have carried me and my family to the success we enjoy today.
Wrestling helped pay for college, allowed me to travel the world, and connected me with other hard working people who knew how to overcome adversity. One of those people is now my husband, Mitchell (Coach Ike). As two college All American wrestlers, we know we can take on anything the world throws at us — so the world sent us two wild little boys.
I became a wrestling coach to give back to a community that has grown beyond my wildest dreams and shaped me into the person I am today. From my experience as a girl wrestler on an all-boys team in high school, then as a woman wrestler on a women’s team in college, I’m able to offer a unique perspective to young athletes, both male and female. I was All American in high school (both freestyle and folk style) and in college, and hope to take the tools I used to earn these honors to help shape the future of the sport.

What wrestling means to me, is a chance to create a positive tomorrow. It allows athletes and even coaches create work ethic that allows success that translates on and off the mat. While being a coach, I am able to help the wrestlers develop as athletes, but also develop as leaders in their community.
While coaching for Putnam City West Junior High School, I have always tried to install these ideals in the my wrestlers.

Coaching ranks among the most gratifying experiences I've encountered in my life, second only to fatherhood. Whether it's wrestling, baseball, or football, I find immense joy in passing the knowledge I've gained to the next generation. I feel that sports help kids build skills to help them navigate real life situations and to mature as individuals. Reflecting on the impact my own coaches had on me during my upbringing fuels my desire to be the best mentor possible for each athlete I encounter. While witnessing their growth into exceptional athletes brings fulfillment, my ultimate aim is to witness them evolve into exceptional members of their community.
